Your Integral Construction & Fit-Out Cleaning Partner
The management of our cleaning team, schedules and processes is where Whight’s Commercial Cleaning shines. Quality management practices are our primary focus when servicing the construction industry, where time constraints are at the forefront and passing deadlines can be costly.
The Whight’s Standard in Builders Cleans
Depending on the size, a building project generally has three cleaning stages with different objectives. During construction – like most ongoing cleaning we undertake – our team approaches building and fit-out cleaning by focusing on the general cleanliness and safety of your staff and their productivity. The second stage is an extensive floor-to-ceiling “80%” clean when construction is nearing completion before the final stage, “the sparkle clean”, when it’s all about presenting your work and making every aspect look alluring to your clients.
Stage One: During Construction
Sites that feature on-site staff offices and amenities will generally require ongoing cleaning. With a safety-first policy, our team diligently follow all WHS, protective equipment (PPE) and site induction requirements.
Regular cleaning of on-site offices typically includes all flooring and bins and kitchenette and bathroom areas. Resupply of kitchen products – tea, coffee, milk and sugar – and bathroom consumables such toilet paper, paper towels and soaps are provided as standard across our construction sites.
Stage Two: Ready For Inspection - The “80%” Clean
When the typical pieces of the construction puzzle are nearing completion, our team typically conducts an “80%” clean, ready for inspection. Before the installation of carpets, a site will undergo extensive ground-to-ceiling cleaning, including:
- Removal of all construction material and debris such as paint, plaster dust, electrical offcuts and timber shavings
- Product de-stickering
- Hard-surface flooring
- Interior walls
- Toilets and sanitaryware
- “Pre-identification” of defects to fixtures, walls and flooring that we find during cleaning
Stage Three: Presentation For Handover - The “Sparkle” Clean
We aim to make your clients over the moon with your project. Facilitating this is the final cleaning stage to make everything really shine. Whight’s Commercial Cleaning helps you deliver this by:
- Performing thorough cleaning to remove any remaining material and debris
- Removal of all protective films
- All glass, such as windows, ovens and cooktops
- Door and window tracks and other crevices
- Polishing of stainless steel surfaces
- Vacuuming carpets
